Because they realize what it COULD be if a company with talent and care got the rights to it. Hate is not the opposite of Love, it comes out of it. The opposite of Love is Apathy. Once you remove Pokemon from Gamefreak and give it to devs like HAL or Monolith Soft, you'll suddenly see the games explode in technical sense and also in graphical and will make more money then it ever did before. You'll also see many different types of Pokemon games, not just simple RPG or weird side projects like Pokemon Run.
