Sony has sucked since PS3. The bar is just really low right now because console gaming is abysmal right now. The death of the killer app after the 360 era has made it pointless. I can't imagine not already moving on to PC gaming exclusively.

IGN has been trying to court controversy for the past few months. They have incentive to be clickbaity and while Sony does deserve criticism they gave AC Shadows an 8, Veilguard a 9, and Sony’s liveservice disaster Concord a 7. If I’m orienting Sony’s repertoire of third person movie games against the stated games I’m picking a damn movie game every time.
