These games weren't designed with OLED colors in mind, the original palletes were much more washed out.

Its not silly, its butchering. The bezel on OP image is retarded and it will never be able to use a normal screen again.
If you've ever held a gbc, the way the color comes out in the light is beautiful. The pixels look different and special.
Its like comparing snes era visuals on a CRT to a modern display.

Also I doubt those chink displays are pixel perfect or even in the right aspect ratio. Emulate like >>723292712 said if you really care that much.

The worst part is when they put in screens with overly high pixel counts. To say nothing of how fucked up colors get, the only acceptable backlight mod is an AGS-101.

I've got a bivert, I don't really care for it much. I just think these old screens are a bit too shit, I prefer playing my GB games on the GBC, which has a much nicer display but you can't backlight it.

I find the GBC is forgiving enough in most lighting. If I need to I'd break out the worm light
