Where are my fellow Battleboomers at? I think all of us sane veterans can agree they've killed this franchise off for good with the codified release of Battleslop6. What games have you been playing to scratch the Battlefield itch?

Yes I agree that BF3 killed the franchise.

Squad and games in that sphere of genre. Maybe Arma reforger for some people. There is an odd vacuume since BF3 where you'd think somebody would fill the void and be very successfull. Guess it's Squad but there is a lot of jank and slow development.

Its intentionally designed that way to appeal to the constant-chaos COD crowd. The maps can always be updated, new maps can be introduced but the whole game feels like a cheap Battlefield clone regardless. I'll pick the game up months down the line for cheap if im bored, im sure it will still have an active playerbase of CODzooombies that I can farm

It's the first game I ever refunded. BF1 was excellent in comparison. Everything about it was better. I just felt bored and annoyed after playing BF6. They kept putting me in the same map on losing teams that didn't know anything.

The gunplay is dogshit, there are four level of bloom. Unless you mean the m4 carbine, then yeah, it's basically COD (fun).

I will always go back to playing pic related, still active in certain hours especially in the weekends.
Bought BF1 not too long ago and while I liked the gunplay I just couldn't care too much about the maps, some of them had way too many chokepoints, looked crazy good tho, nice atmosphere.
I think the one saving grace BF6 has is portal, I can see it giving BF6 a long lasting life.

I don't really have such an itch anymore, haven't had it since I had enough of BF4 back in the day. I've been playing some BF6 strictly because it's that one game that my friends are willing to play at this time, that's about it.

I played a bit, hated what the franchise became, and then found out about BF2Hub and played a few rounds of classic BF2. Only problem was there wasn't many players. A lot of the servers up were feeled with dummy players (not even bots). I was on one server and it was just like old times.

All we need is some indie to follow BF2's formula with some cleanup.
