well, xbox has killed itself and nintendo is off in la la land doing their own shit, so ps6 is going to be expected to fill the role of normal console for normal people. i'm probably going to snag a ps5 anyway on black friday, i want the ps4 backlog more than i do anything released for ps5 which is mostly just slop. knack, original last of us, wipeout omega collection, uncharted, killzone (pretty sure at least some of those are on ps4/ps5), and more that i'm just not thinking of because not snoy.

It will always be shit as long as the controller is shit and the current retro 1997 controller is too outdated to actually do anything new with.
They should have ended development on the Dualshock with the DS4 and moved to create a completely new controller for their new consoles.
They had the golden opportunity with the PSVR2 to just make that their new controller and incentivize adding VR support for PS5 games, but they didn't take it and just forced everyone to buy a new Dualshock instead.

i skipped the last 3 dawg. had a ps2, skipped ps3 for xbox 360, had an xbox one and swore off the whole generation, picked up a series s on deep discount a couple years ago and i have put *maybe* 75 hours on it. xbox is utter shit at this point

Used PS4's are less than $100 and don't pester you for an internet connection to do trivial shit. There's so few games with a PS5 patch, and those that have them are actually worse. Elden Ring in particular. PS5 is a complete lost generation.

I skipped PS4 and 5. Should I buy PS6 or wait for the Pro?

A mid-range gpu has always been what the consoles were about hence why PC users were mocking snoys and box cultists when we got their ports over. We got the ultra graphics at 90-120fps with top of the range graphics cards. This is what you zoomers don't get. You are a moron if you think console makers will want to even try and release something that uses the high end graphics card since it cuts down profitability and accessibility for the general market which is poorfags that can afford $1k max for a game rig to play exclusive and yearly released licensed games and of course their pew pew shooters.

Ps4 game library is only rivaled by ps2. Ps5 rewarded those with huge ps4 libraries. Spare ps4 can be setup to remote play your ps5 so you can easily switch to another screen in the house

It's outdated for current game design, everything that can be done with it, has been done with it and now we're just stagnating.

That doesn't mean it's still good, it just means that normalfags imprinted on it, the suits don't think that they will accept changes and any attempts to move away from it will be sabotaged by different groups within the company note that I'm not claiming this is conspiracy shit, it's just that people will constantly undermine projects from other people just so that they can say that they were right all along, which is just something that happens in major companies.

It's still functionally the same controller with some minor ergonomics changes and the only reasoning given for not just sticking with the DS4 was "adaptive triggers". It still has all the same design flaws and limitations as the DS4.

I JUST bought a PS5, mainly because my PS4 stopped working. I still can't believe they are planning to release the PS6 already when this thing has no games still. Wtf are they doing? Why would you release a system that is basically just a "pro" version of your last console, make like 1 game for it, and then think to yourself "yeah, this is good, next console!"?
