My real gripe with the Story of Seasons remakes is that they should be way better and have far more done to them to be resold at the price they're asking.
It was also something I loathed about the ports/remasters of RF3 and RF4 onto switch and then PC. Games that are around a decade old and yet a remaster can't atleast do SOME new art assets so everything doesn't look like a blurry fucking mess?

They kept the designs incredibly similar while updating from 2d to 3d. Grand Bazaar has it's own graphical problems which make it look really shit by today's standards.

I just watched the death scenes on YouTube. The animation kind of sucks. I'm not impressed. They are clearly to afraid to commit to any overt violence with the deaths either. There is a sense of the same type of death fetishism present in other games like this, but it's not even the diet coke version. It's more like the flavored sparkling water version. I was going to give it a pirate, but I think I'm content to pass on that too now.

You might as well just save yourself the time, it's written by the guy who wrote Remothered, if you know anything about that game's story you'd already know it's a confusing mess.
This game is quite similar, initially very impressive, the animation is neat but when you analyze it feels lackluster (and not fully utilizing that kind of style in my opinion), the gameplay is "fine" but when you play it for a while it's repetitive and dull, but the writing is particularly quite bad.
