Thanks dude. I feel like a hack because I only have a few pages to show since years ago but man, it's so hard to find the energy to write and draw something after a full day's work.

Last year I managed to make the drawings for a couple pages more but I got stuck with interiors because I'd need to go research how houses were on the inside by late XIX century in my country. There's nothing on the internet about it. Also I'm supposed to be an architect so I'd feel like a hack if I didn't give that some thought.

Loosen up. It's good you have passion but don't let your mental standards prevent you from producing. The more you draw, the faster and more efficent you become. It's great you want to be accurate and faithful but if the trade-off diminishes the returns, consider changing your mind set. Your art and work deserves to be made and seen and your audience will have lower expectations than you. What I see from the page you posted, you have the talent to create atmospheric panels and flow. I rather have more pages with similar vibe and story telling with less faithful architecture and details.

And don't get me wrong, I'm not taking jab at your interests or passion. I just think if you lowered your self-critiscm and rode the flow, you'd get to produce more content and show and tell more.

I like how Stygian Flowers based itself around only having a handful of curated, difficult encounters; I think for a first game, that'd be a great way of learning how to balance combat encounters, especially when the goal of the game is to help illustrate Nous macguyvering an alchemical solution by finding crap lying around to make the inevitable combat situation easier. The Art, after all, only aids nature. It prepares the material and nature performs the rest!

The reason I know somewhat not horribly nowadays, is because I put the hours into it. I wake up before going to work to draw which allows me to give the best hours of my day mentally to my craft. Do it for a few years and the gains start to show. I'm still light years below the artists I like, but little by little you do get closer.

This applies to any other hobby too. Play an instrument, compose music, do some sports. If you are disciplined you WILL get better

I think if you fixed the collar/neck area and added small details like the ears, elbows, knees, it'd be a much stronger work. As it is now, her neck looks a bit too big and the arm closest to the viewer is disjointed, I think. Other than that, great job so far, anon!

If you're just sketching the drawing out right now, I'd settle for a simple shape or a fat U or something. A sketch doesn't need to be perfect nor should it be, so if it looks wobbly and fucky, that's fine.

That's why I'd suggest just using a template head shape and if you want to fuck around with it later, you already have a starting position to work with. Even more so when you have a better idea of how the body should be oriented.

My problem is that I keep making little drawings instead of focusing on my big drawing project.
