How are there people who unironically listen to video game music in their free time? Are elevator tunes and ringtones also in your playlist?

You know how wine snobs were proven to be full of shit by giving them cheap wine in expensive bottles and they could not tell the difference? I bet if someone performed a blind test on you with bunch of songs you never heard before and asked you to tell which one was put in game and which wasn't you would not be able to tell which one is which.

I specifically like instrumental music with a big focus on melody, so vidya music is really nice.
I hate vocals in music. No I don't wanna hear about your shitty pseud prose about your gay feelings and political ideologies. I want fancy melodies that aren't necessarily stuck to jazz or classical music.

Alright /v/, there's a stereotype on /mu/ that people who listen to video game music have terrible taste in music.
Post a video game song you like and a non-video game song you like.

protip: all video game music is derived from regular music and you can find the same and much better (trust me) stuff compared to video game music. its ALL derivative and not self-referential. just because you are too ignorant to look below the tip of the top 40 iceberg is not my problem.

Part of what makes video game music appealing to me is it invokes the mental image of being inside my home, being comfy, playing vidya. So if I listen to beep-and-boop music when I am out-and-about, or when I am doing something stressful or requiring attention, it makes me feel comfy.
