More winners than I expected, honestly. Hawlucha is good. Froslass and Meganium are pretty adorable. Bacon staffed Emboar cracks me up. Mega Dragonite is as goofy as regular Dragonite.

The one that makes me mad is flying Mega Clefable, which is an idea so cool it must have passed some unacceptable coolness threshold so GameFreak took a shit on its head

Scrap everything after Gen 4.
Lean into regional variants of Pokemon.
Further develop non-battle uses for Pokemon; make in-game reasons to not evolve pokemon.
Put more effort into the world; give more opportunities to explore, better utilizing Pokemon's unique abilities therein.
