Silksong was frustrating to me because most bosses were significantly easier than the gauntlets that preceded or surrounded them. Hell, most gauntlets were harder then the bosses themselves. I still feel that Silksong is at it's best in a 1v1 duel. Lace (all three versions), the first sinner, widow, Seth, phantom, the last judge, all are fantastic fights that are engaging and enjoyable. The game really shines when Hornet is up against one powerful enemy. Cross stitch for life baby.

Groal is a big guy in the center of the screen with telegraphed attacks, so it's not that different from other stuff in the game, but the ambushing guys go up really high. You can just spawn camp them and farm them for free silk before dumping your silk skills and boomerangs into the fat fuck himself. He has a pitiful amount of HP compared to other bosses. Let him suck you up and you get like 4-5 attacks while only taking 3 damage. Multibinder and injector band makes it nearly impossible to die while he's going through his cycles.

I'm a lorefag. Hollow Knight narrative and lore were genuinely interesting. To me, Silksong feels like it failed in those aspects. It's not that it's badly written or imagined, but I just don't find anything about its story or ideas particularly attention-grabbing.
I think the attempt to create a narrative that's more about the journey and the characters (as opposed to being more about the kingdom and its history like Hallownest) didn't really work out that well, because the journey feels jumbled up and weirdly paced and the characters like Lace aren't too compelling. The only problems I have with Act 3 other than the first Abyss visit being completely useless except for the kino escape sequence is that the story bosses feel pretty random and should've been presented way earlier in the story, also the fact that they're all pretty simple fights except for Karmelita and maybe Seth if your playstyle is very aggressive.
The only other interesting fights in Act 3 are the final boss and Tormented Trobbio, but I also like the atmosphere of the Crawfather fight

I died in the judge's death explosion (real cute) and had to kill it again. Fuck you. Then I ran through the underground area of the citadel until I reached the citadel. Lots of wide open levels here, very boring, just running past everything until I found the cogwork dancers. I died at some point during the second phase. I will not be doing that a second time. Reaper isn't the best way to handle her, I'm just stubborn and by that point I had gotten good with the moveset and the range.
The best way to handle her is to only move when you need to. Sounds self-explanatory, but when shit starts going crazy you'll probably want to move around a lot and end up getting hit by projectiles or Lace just fucking teleporting into your asshole. On the subject of difficulty the original Reddit Knight was trivially easy outside of some boss fights (the ones I didn't beat on my first try at least).
