I'm sure a million different people could come up with a million different reasons, but I think it really comes down to something incredibly simple: certain groups of people hate certain other groups of people due to a malicious, dyed-in-the-wool envy coupled with an ego that could eclipse the sun the way the ass end of the bell curve does for them already. Imagine, you hate this group of people, they enjoy this category of game, you know this group of people is smarter than your group of people, you cannot understand why they like this game or what about the game could *possibly* appeal to them, which makes you feel dumb, which bruises your massive ego, and because you've never evolved beyond childhood this actually stresses you out.
