Mh4 had fucking amazing music, colorful locales and zany monsters, and the caravan theme is fun.
Tri has a sublime nature documentary atmosphere, really oraganic and beautiful scenery, moga village is the coziest, and swimming is fun.
FU has everything from gen 1&2, it's basically like MH Generations but doesn't feel like a sloppy romhack. And it's really the Pinnacle of 'classic' MH.
4U was generally fine.
The biggest issue was really being stuck on a handheld with hardware that struggled with PS1 tier games and not having a second analog stick.
