Performance is a mess I had constant black scenes for months until I did a full windows reinstall.
What happened to Nvidia? Or games in general.
Most games run anywhere from below 30fps all the way to 90fps.

I have a 4060 and everything runs just fine. 9600x, 32gb ram, 11 25H2

I think they started using their AI to write drivers. There's no need to shit out a driver every two weeks. Slow down and test shit.

The old ones are out, the new ones either lack practical talent, cheap labor and/or lied, shifting focus on shit like AI, having to work with an increasingly worse versions of Windows as the majority operating system, on top of and ever increasing amount of security features because third worlders just can't fuck off and let people have nice things.

I got it cheap but I still regret it

I have a 3070 and get the black screens but only in games that seem to push the card. The problem is that the games are all over the place in GRAFFIX. Strangers of Paradise is pretty ugly but gave me a black screen, indie games like Cocoon and Forgive me Father 2 did as well.

Never had issues with my 1060
Switched to a 6700xt, had a fuck ton of issues with new games

Not sure what you are trying to say. The last couple generations both MS and Sony have put the same amount of VRAM into their consoles and everytime PC players had a bad time if their GPU didn't match or exceed that VRAM amount. At least it looks like AMD will put a shit ton of VRAM into all their next high end GPUs and won't skimp with it like Nvidia does.

AMD unironically has had more stable drivers for years now. Nvidia having a technological advantage with faster raytracing and better upscaling means jack shit if the drivers suck. My 7900 XT is really stable and has no issues with old and new games.

The alternative to the 4060 at the time was something like an RX7600 which is just a worse GPU, so no AMD did not have an objectively better offer. Especially because the RTX4060 has access to DLSS while RX7600 was stuck on FSR2-3 which is just ass.
Although now the RX9060 is a better buy obviously.

I have a 4060 and Remnant 2, which is one of the most demanding UE5 games, runs fine. There might be something wrong with yours OP.

Works on my machine, I don't play a lot of new releases but I didn't have any problems with the ones I have. This year I played Jedi Survivor, Alan Wake 2, Lies of P, Space Marine 2, Returnal, Marvel Rivals and Street Fighter 6, they all ran perfectly fine without much need for tweaking the settings. I'm not autistic about refusing to use DLSS though, for a couple of these I also turned on 2xFG as well

It's absolutely true. DLSS2-3 was solid. FSR2-3 was steaming dogshit. DLSS4 is god tier. FSR4 is great. And all of these upscalers, even the FSR2 turd, are an overall better way to render your games than to use dogshit TAA which has been the rendering standard for years now.

I've been playing PC games since the Geforce 2 series. I am not autistic so video games didn't suddenly become playable for me with the release of the RTX 3000 series. A game running at 1440p 80fps looks great to me, I don't shit my pants if I can spot a little bit of artifacting
