I mainly don't like getting on vc just because it feels weird when there are other people in my house hearing me speak, and at times I feel a need to repress my own expression.

That's kinda besides the point. Language is a tool, when playing vidya it's pretty useful. I think a lot of people get hung up for really nothing. Just talk! I've done it and been a boring faggot before, perhaps cringe, but I now almost intrinsically know the art of interaction. Sometimes it sucks, sometimes it's chaotic. You just have to learn how to navigate those seas. For me it almost feels like war, but I may be autistic.

I got on vc with some blacks and they thought I was a girl because of my character, eventually I told them I wasn't. I didn't speak because I lied that my mic was broken. Eventually, the next day I used my voice and it was fine. We got along well, though I was boring and autistic to some of them at times and I eventually kind of ghosted them. Enter the refiners fire.

i cant concentrate as well trying to listen to people talk and i play worse with people talking at me because i have to process what they are saying. strategy is better facilitated with map pings and quickchats (since they are consistent sounds that are always the same they dont have to be interpreted once im used to them)
