Never played Trails because of the fucked up localization. Does this fix it like I’ve heard? Or is it kind of a mixed bag like Persona 3 Reload, where it fixes things but also causes new problems with meaningless censorship?
If it at least has a heavier balance in favor of fixing things, that’s fine.

the original english localisation is quite different. a lot of lines were changed to be more "straightforward" and have less flair. that's not necessarily a bad thing; it didn't affect my playthrough negatively in any way
the other thing is that it was MTL'd, which is very obvious to someone who played the original. but if you only play the remake you won't notice it
overall the localisation's quirks are only really noticeable if you're a returning player

the whole situation with the sky pirates and when you sneak into their base is so fucking stupid it almost made me quit the game, you beat up the whole group in every room, get to the boss, beat him and let them get away AGAIN with their fucking stupid shitbomb, in a room, with one fucking door, that you stood in front of. then you run after them and somehow all the fuckers you previously beat are up again, not only that, there are even more groups than before because why the hell not
