It seems pretty in-line with other Ventrue. In order for them to drink the blood of someone outside their preferred target type, Ventrue have to exert a great amount of willpower or will literally vomit it back up. This makes a lot of Ventrue naturally picky, so Lou isn't really unusual.

That's the entire reason she locked your powers. If you want the fight to be difficult, you don't choose the dialogue options that makes her unrestrict them.

I think it looks really good. Do wonder about pacing when replaying, though.

The models in this game look so good, I don't blame them for reusing them over and over and over.

the lack of clan banes is EXTREMELY fucking gay. they're a huge part of the clan's identity, more than disciplines for the most part.

The cool thing about Fabien is that they have an excuse to jam in a bunch of extra conversations with characters like Ysabella who die in the modern day. The impression I get from older press releases was that they felt VTMB2's story was undercooked and its characters and arcs weren't fleshed out enough. So they've basically gone and done flashback reshoots to give each character more depth.

I think that poster doesn't seem to understand the point of sidequests in Bloodlines 2 is to be given a target in a semi-open area. It's literally opportunities for sandbox combat chaos. Doing the sidequests also makes major NPCs like you more/increases their sway.

This is an action RPG. Emphasis on the action. Before the rewrites with Fabien, the game was even MORE hyperfixated on combat. If you approach this game viewing the combat as something to rush through to get back to RPG stuff, you're going to be in for a very bad time. What he sees as pointless filler is a really important part of the game where you flex your powers and earn XP to learn more powers and use them together in cool ways.

But is there not any dancing in The Chinese Room version? taking the game out of the hands of Hardsuit Labs actually made no difference at the end of the day. I don't really see a massive jump in quality. But i will remark that I believe the world map in the Hardsuit version looked better in the sense that it looked more believable. Something I've noticed in the past few years is that despite the technological progress we've made, games aren't really much better than they were in 2004.
In fact, they tend to be more shallow, offer less variety in terms of environments and NPCs, and even the most refined modern games are merely adequate when you compare the gameplay.

It showed that vampires may be immortal but they aren't magical gods who can run clubs flawlessly or have the money to spare for renovations. I'm watching a playthrough of the other Chinese Room game, Still Runs the Deep or whatever the fuck. Now every retarded decision in this filth makes sense.

You can't bring stuff between areas because every door hides a loading screen and they don't know how to have a character load into a scene with something in their hands. The movement and world interaction is basically identical and in the worst way. This puffed up indie reskin will be such a fucking shitshow I can't even begin to imagine it.
