What made CAVE decide to create multiple games about gender bending psychic super soldiers crushing a tyrannical empire to the sound of 90s dance music?
This game is honestly pretty great, the stage design makes me think of DaiOuJou-lite. Giving the player hyper cancels on demand and balancing by making popcorn an active detriment to using it is honestly genius, and demonstrates an attention to mechanical systems which on a level pretty much unique to CAVE. It still has a nice amount of routing, but there's always space to recover if you aren't precisely on the ball, so it really feels more beginner friendly. (which is NOT the case in DOJ)
