Please just make another normal Star Fox game
Anonymous No.723371591 [Report] >>723371795 >>723377276
why won't they deliver on this? Do they really have no one talented enough to make an arcade game?

Now that Miyamoto is distracted by the movie biz we have better odds of the next one turning out normal
Assuming of course that Miyamoto didn't ban any Star Fox production while he's busy

Nintendo making a formulaic sequel is the exception, not the rule. They are happier with tearing up an IP's fundamentals to make room for experimental gimmicks.

you got zero and you didn't like it because you listened to journalists who were too stupid get used to the motion controls. you deserve nothing.

could they at the very least remaster the 3ds version?

I remember falco tearing up starwolf in 64. I can't even remember how many times I've only killed 1-2 ships

In 64, your teammates can open up whole new paths for you
Slippy gives you the fucking boss's health bar
They help you shoot down the missles that are trying to take down the great fox
they destroy search lights.
they help you fight star wolf.
They are crazy important in 64.

>>723372180
Zero was just 64 but with "improved" graphics and shitty controls.
People want 64 but better.
Anonymous No.723372838 [Report] >>723374735
We have the decompiled pc port. Its the best star fox your going to get.

Star fox assault is a 50/50 game. The ship levels are fun...the walking section are just like crack addicts wet dream

Zero was a cheap cash grab
Wasn't 3ds just as bad?

we must have played a different game altogether
then again I don't remember them dying ever when I was playing it, so besides the obvious sectory Y and titania I can't think of areas you get gatekept from if they're dead
still, I wouldn't call them "assets" : they shoot like a laser a minute and their biggest contribution is being bait for starwolf

How is AI so good at making Fay?
Miyu and Krystal always have a few flaws, but Fay comes out damn near perfect every time.

Lots of people here suck it off. Frankly, I have no idea why. The levels are linear with not much notable about them, only a handful of bosses are memorable (mainly the "infected" ones). No replayability like SF64 due to the mission structure being so linear, too - a single playthrough will have you see everything the game has to offer. The Arwing doesn't control as well as it does in SF64, and the on-foot sections do the game no favors. And like another anon said, your wingmen are basically useless in Assault (which is not a Krystal exclusive problem, as many will be quick to say). At the very least, the story is interesting though let's be real we already know going in to it that nobody was going to die and it gave us a villain that wasn't Andross for once.
I heard great things about the multiplayer but I have no friends who give enough of a shit about StarFox to play it with me so I can't comment on it.

Is worth one playthrough, same for Adventures and 2.
The original, despite the tech demo status, is a legit good on-rails shooter and has a really good OST.
Dunno if Command ever got a Dpad patch like the Zelda DS games to make it less tedious to play but honestly is a serious downgrade from 64 and Assault, only play it if you're actually curious about it.
Zero is trash.

Miyamoto would never allow a fun thing to happen unless it was incredibly innovative even if the innovation got in the way of the fun. He's also the only person who cares about Star Fox so once his stupid ass is gone SF is dead unless Adi Shankar gets the green light from Netflix to make a horrible show that takes place in the Fara Phoenix era but instead features Krystal because internet points.

Why put effort into making a good StarFox game when a half-assed Pokemon game will sell literally 50x more?

they slightly change the game. you save falco and he is alive later in the level, you do the fly through the hoop thing then falco leads you to an alternate ending for a different campaign path. it could make a big difference if one was alive or not as it could change how you could play the campaign

Pokemon games are another kind of beast. And the TL;DR version is that Pokemon fanbase is legit the only one that no matter how shit are the games is still loyal to the IP, so why bother? The only worse retards are Fifatards
Anonymous No.723377687 [Report]
>>723377401
so are we talking lore-wise then? as in they feel like they make a dent during the campaign?
because "unlocking a boss if you keep them alive" feels more like a requirement than the actual crew being instrumental or useful
I played that game like 200 times and it's pretty much the reason why I know english to begin with and I never thought to myself
>luckily falco scratched that one bogey
>thank god bill gave me 2 silver rings while I was roasting on the sun
>amazing, kat destroyed that one searchlight I would have gotten anyway

Not him but in the current year I don't think that's true. For instance I think I'm the only person on Earth who remember when FromSoft made more than 1 game.

SF's main problem is that there's no dedicated team to make it.
Which team listed here would do a good job with a new SF game? Keep in mind that you'd be sacrificing the team's other games in order to bring SF back, so if you choose Team 5 for instance, say goodbye to Animal Crossing and/or Splatoon.

I'd love to see a StarFox game made by Monolith or Platinum. If nothing else, they'd at least make on-foot sections actually fun.
