Ninja Gaiden 4 is coming out. He wasn't the creator but was responsible for the reboot on Xbox until Tecmo (the company he worked for) booted him from the company and refused to pay him roytalties he was owed. IIRC he sued and did either beat them or settled out of court. He also worked on the DOA games and is the one largely responsible for why the first two NG games were great. NG3 was regarded as so shit that they had to re-release a version that improved upon the original. Itagaki had nothing to do with these games nor the Sigma games.
And finally, he was absolutely influential and was a key figure in helping to bring at least a few good games to the original Xbox.
