That's always why I was never able to understand the whole "anytime you mention it someone reinstalls" meme. I really like how Rockstar did Leo and Daniel from Manhunt 2. It would've made for a better story to play a neonate vampire from a high generation and having a supposedly "elder" vampire inside our head telling us what to do, pushing us to be less human, the manipulation would be kind of blatant but hard to truly fight against because there's no one else willing to help. And only after a point in the story do we learn, this fucking guy inside our heads doesn't have our best interest in minds and we have to do something about it. But everything I've seen about Fabien is just so boring, so mundane. He talks too much, his commentary lacks any bite, most of it are just observations. In fact he kinda does the thinking for Phyre by pointing out the obvious.
