Yes, but that's not going to fix the desync issues. This game was simply not made for more than 4 players. Hell, even vanilla lobbies suffer from desync sometimes. Best you can do is install Peaker to decrease the max velocity of players who are spazzing out, ItemSpawner to spawn items that randomly disappear and Advanced Console to teleport players who get stuck in the void after they reconnect.

Imagine making an actual card game out of it, in which you link different scouts or whatever to climb higher than your opponent.
Some scouts could pair well with each other, some others could work better as standalone cards but wouldn't do so much when played in groups, and so on.
And also, imagine items getting used as cards too. For example a rope could help you and a banana peel could hinder your opponent.

I feel like a Peak card game would work best as a coop game where all players use their cards to try to "defeat" the mountain which uses random cards every turn to attack the players. The mountain deck could be determined by biome and Ascent.

It also occurred to me that scout cards could have biome strengths and weaknesses. For example a scout that's strong in tropics gets a +10 stamina bonus when on tropics, and a scout that's weak in alpine gets -10 when on alpine, or something like that.

Well, it's both.
The seeds are generated completely randomly, but we as players are served 16 seeds each update which are played (probably) sequentially.
We'll never see these specific seeds again once the game updates with new ones, but if you never update, it'll select from this 'premade set' forever.
