I've been disappointed with Pokemon so I played this on a friends recommendation, I'm shocked at the amount of boring grind and nonsense story people put up with in this game.

Really? Finished it without grinding 1 sec. Just use the farm from time to time and you're set.

7/10 game with a story that redeems itself during the end. Repetitive locations, forgettable music, awful card minigame, mostly bad side-quests, aegiomon-inory chemistry felt awful and Inori could be left out of game entirely and replaced with Hiriko, who actually had a personality. And obviously game is way too easy.

But! Full to the brim with soul, very charming game, and fantastic digimon models.

Lemme guess: you did all your leveling by battle EXP and never learned how the personality system works.

I played it on hard, never used the farm and never grinded, did even skip fighting all random enemies closer to the end

I agree on most points, only good thing with the card game is that it was totally optional and no forced tournament like in witcher 3

>Repetitive locations
So just like the previous games unfortunately.

Not nearly as bad. Think more like Skyward Sword. You revisit old areas, but normally they're either very different, or you just skip to whichever thing you haven't done yet.
TS also has environmental variety, unlike CS.

I never understood how it's even played.
>inori
Up until 2/3 I thought she'd turn out to be some digimon goddess or some shit like that, in stead of the agent being one.

You thought that Bootstrap Paradox plots are overused trash in time travel video games

There's nothing to understand, it's the type triangle + a whole lot of god damn RNG.
