Death Stranding took me two tries to get into.

Yeah, it's so terribly written and so full of completely silly shit that it almost seems more like a parody of those death game style VNs. And on top of that they just completely dropped a bunch of plot threads from the first two games that they said would get resolved and the entirety of the plot just gets resolved in the most unsatisfying way possible.

One, RE3make is like half gutted and it plays like a less retarded RE6, which is to say it's still missing the point. RE2make sucks specifically as a retelling of RE2 but it's arguably the first OTS entry that actually fucking feels like RE at all. 4 was a great game and a necessary one at the time but it took the series almost 15 years to find a sweet spot from it. To date, nothing's gotten closer than RE2make.

Because it was much more egregious for 3R. For 2R the B scenarios were pretty stripped down compared to the original, but most of the areas were intact except for the lab which was noticeably smaller, and the sewers were pretty different from the original. People gave it a pass for that. For 3, the entire opening part of the game was turned into a 10 minute on rails sequence, only one part of the city was really "adapted" and they added a short sewer sequence instead of a larger second open section of the city, they removed the clock tower, removed the park/graveyard, completely changed the final area from a factory to a lab, didn't add in upgraded ammo you could make like the original had, didn't add in the weapons you could make from shit Nemesis dropped, removed being able to do things in different order to change the story, and Nemesis basically only chases you for 30% of the game. If you were to list the features of both the original and remake side by side and ask someone which one they thought was the remake, I'm pretty sure everyone would think the original was due to the sheer amount of shit they took out.

But I figured out that unfinished video games are not as fun to play as finished games.
You will get less and lower quality content than if the game was finished.
And there are often compatibility issues between versions so you need to start over and over again.
So you may aswell wait for the game to actually get finished.

I think for me it was probably Classic wow-TBC-Wrath, but i actually enjoyed myself for the most part. The problem was the other players, by the end of Vanilla, i could see the rot setting in. The soilennials and redditors were slowly sucking the life and fun out of the game.

The game itself was peak, better than i hoped, but the fucking chinks i was playing with had more passion for the game, and were more sociable, than the white people i was playing with. They also didn't care that i had edgy usernames, my hunter who was named after the VirginiaTech shooting had random muttmericans sperg out and report me on the spot for having it.

By the time i quit SoD, i was honestly disgusted with the people around me.

I would say the PS1 has looped back around and started looking good again, of course with some caveats. 240p just doesn't look good on an LCD so you kind of need to cheat and go a little higher in res but those pixely graphics actually does have a ton of charm.
