Playing Vestaria Saga as my first Kaga game. This is closer to a real Fire Emblem game than any actual FE games made in the last ten years.

But man, oh man, does Kaga really expect you to pay attention and plan ahead. It's exactly what I want and yet it's almost too much for me. Kaga wrote a small paragraph for the desert chapter to explain how the geography created the weather patterns that created the desert. The gameplay is like that too.

I'm still really impressed though, you can tell it's made by a guy with twenty-five years of experience.

Basically, rather than white mage on a horse, you need a paladin that would benefit from having access to magic. The best unit for the class is probably sylvain. Lorenz' statset would actually be suited to it but he has the worst possible spell list for a white mage.
