The games only identity is "Its better than CoD" which isnt a hard thing to do these days and honestly in terms of optimization its worse than CoD, the menus are a clusterfuck of information, the maps are just a mishmash of buildings with no natural flow to them you're just constantly getting killed from 100 different angles. The designers took realism too seriously and basically just copy pasted a block from Manhattan into the game without any thought as to if it would be fun to play on at all. And the gun spread is fucking ridiculous when we already have a mechanic that prevents guns from being lasers and its called recoil, you dont need the gun to fucking lie to you to stop it from being a laser.

That's because the entire community moved to portal servers with vanilla rules because the lack of persistence in normal matchmaking made long play sessions absolute cancer due to no map rotation and matchmaking itself being painfully slow.

Having a queue means nothing, because the lower the numbers drop, the less servers EA keep running. They scaled everything up for launch and are now winding down.

You can especially see this if you play anything in Portal. The first week no matter what you searched for there was a whole list full of servers at any point of the day. Now it feels like there's half as many servers available as there used to be last week and most combination of searches will now only show like 5-10 servers.
