>just buy the game chud, it's just $60!
>$70? you don't have $10 extra?
>come on, if you can pay $70, you can absolutely pay $80!
>are you a fucking nazi or something? games should cost $500 if we adjust for inflation! just pay the $90 and shut the fuck up

What do you mean you don't want to spend $70? $80 isn't even that much anyway. Honestly, it's a steal at only $90. Well, if you consider inflation, it's no wonder games cost $100. Games used to cost way more than $110 when I was a kid. Look, if you won't pay $120 for a game then you're just being greedy.

Anonymous No.723439278 [Report]
60 dollars was bullshit too. I would never spend more than 40 dollars on a game, and even then it better be a 20+ hour long RPG or some shit. Really, a combination of pirating, Game Pass/PS Plus subscriptions, waiting for shit to go on sale, and mainly playing older, cheaper games is the only smart way to go about the hobby. You're a straight up retard if you drop 60+ dollars multiple times a year for children's toys

I'm not saving $10. I'm saving $70.

That's cool, still not paying a buck over 20 dollars.

Why yes of course, i always buy an unfinished game for $60 and then pay $40 in DLC to get what should have been at launch

I never even paid $60, paying for games at launch is just paying for being a beta tester.

One year later you can buy the game with all the DLCs for $50 and all bugs fixed

You're supposed to be negotiating that with your boss and leaving if they don't give you an appropriate CoL raise of 2-5% on top of your actual raise.

Nope. Games staying at $60 until recently was offset by devs pandering to wider audiences and often having to compromise on the unique aspects of the IPs up till then to draw in those wider audiences. That was the agreement, and it worked, canceling out the effects of inflation.

Devs broke that agreement in 2020, they want boutique prices for games and hardware again, but still want to make watered-down homogenous games and mass appeal.
