I played the remake first. Took me like 45 minutes, constant retries, had to sell everything and basically respec like a fucking RPG. Absolute nightmare. I played the original, dreading this scene, but I beat it first try. The OG RE4 is a really easy game, and I have no idea why people complain about Ashley. Never had a single issue with her

The critical element is GameCube. If you dont think its hard its because you played on a version like PS2 or PC that caps enemies and prevents more from spawning.

It's still piss easy, RE4 isn't a difficult game. The water room in the remake is worse (on hardcore, the real normal difficulty)

I've beaten 31 of the games on that list and I don't think a single one frustrated me as much as the second half of Castlevania 3 (US). It has so many long difficult levels back to back that it's hard to even pick the worst one.
