Is GTA a franchise aimed at kids?

I don't give a fuck about VI too but seems like the whole internet is waiting for it, are those the GTA V first timers or do 30y+ people really care about it?
Everyone loved GTA as a kid because it was one of those violent video games with lot of freedom but you grow up out of it.
