So many adaptations get Morrigan's character wrong, the Udon comics probably being the worst offender of the bunch. They basically make her entire personality amount to "generic evil succubus" and have her kiss and drain men like a throwaway villain. She's supposed to be charming and playful - like Fujiko Mine meets Bayonetta with a dash of spoiled ojou-sama thrown in.

And like you said, she has longing and pathos for connection to that part of her lost soul and you could easily use that to give her depth. But no, let's just make her an evil bitch.
