Who cares about a metacritic score? I suppose because none of you want to spend the money to critique it yourselves? I'd still rather people review games themselves on this board instead. Sorry I just see anything else as laziness. Also since metacritic never generally has had any bearing on steam store releases it's also alien to me in that sense.

idk but to me it looks interesting, gameplay is janky but the VA and story seems decent.
I hope the mediocre reviews don't deter Chinese Room from continuing further work on VTM or WoD, cause I'd like to see them make another installement, fully fleshed out and not picking up someone else's project just to finish it, which imo is a success for them considering this project itself is way out of their scope and they managed to salvage some of it

I was expecting it to sit in the 70s so that's disappointing.
It is a bit odd seeing the reviews contradict each other - one complains about lack of variety in choice while another praises it. Or performance issues - some have no issues some have a lot. I was going to play the game at some point regardless I guess I'll just go in expecting the absolute worst.

This game is a sequel to a beloved RPG, and the strategy of the sequel was to throw out the appeal of the old game in favor of finding a new audience. The reviewers who are fans of the old game will have different outlooks and grievances compared to the reviewers who are new (but seems like even they have their own problems with it).

to be fair due to my past obsessions usually people used to think I was georgian or that I had watched every doctor who episode. But actually i didnt see those things as just… Them.

Basically:

pokemon/sailor moon/simpsons/total drama/kingdom Hearts/homestuck/my little pony/voltron/overwatch - just fictional to me now, they were also practically personally Met, to the point that they bled over into each other and into doctor who like the Brujah and the sims.

georgia (saKartvelo) - just a place to me now, but before was personally met and was also a Susan Wainwright cosplayer. Same with the vampire.

and now to me both Susan Wainwright from sims 3 and the female Malkavian and Luvic of traken from Doctor who are not just fictional but also personally met and they invade my mind a lot, soon they will be just fictional to me

false, incorrect. People use it as a cop out excuse all the time to defend games that they can't argue in good faith about. The count down since people SEETHED about Zelda BOTW posting for example always drew attention to its metacritic score. I've written scathing reviews of Sony's games in the past too and I was often met with a response of how it scored on metacritic rather than any counter argument in opposition to what I had criticised. That does not correspond with what I've seen on this board for a long time.

i would argue that a game is truly a masterpiece if it's so endearing that you'd give it a 10/10 despite its flaws. Sums up how I feel about New Vegas.

Bloodlines 1 wasn't even shat on by journos.
Most of the pic related reviews are from 2004 and 2005.

It's a failed normie bait. It erased everything from Bloodlines 1 which made it an RPG and tried to be a Dishonored, and somehow failed at doing that. And not by a small margin. They failed at being mediocre.
