Shinon has insanely good growths despite his odd availability, and Rolf has good growths and 39 levels to gain in an extremely generous exp pool. Boyd can also be good with bows if he doesn't get SPD/DEF screwed (the 30 STR later on is nice) and most of the paladins can wield bows if you want (and it's a good idea in Maniac).
