Some watches have a little weight at the bottom that moves when you walk and charges a battery. Every one I owned that does this is more of a pain in the ass than it should be and requires way more repairs than normal because it's constantly moving. Also if you don't wear it for a while it obviously goes dead and you have to put it in this cradle that rotates it every so often.

Easily confused numbers. I can tell the time on an analog wristwatch from 15 feet away at an acute angle.

I still remember my first college day where I met my wife. I was wearing some shirt and casio f-91w
and for some reasons she came to me and asked what kind of funny watch this is.
Few minutes before I listened the song Magic Carpet Ride and I just said the cringiest shit ever:
>Close your eyes, girl
>Look inside, girl
>Let the watch take you away
To this day, I could still die of cringe remembering that moment… but I guess it worked out in the end. I still have the watch. Even though I don't wear it anymore.

When has that ever happened to anybody ever, to any normal wrist havers this is literally impossible. They just made it annoying to use a watch. This problem was apparently corrected with newer models so it definitely sucked. I just bought the watch online and thought my watch was fucking broken and only until I saw people complaining about it on google did I realize I was scamio'd. I use pic related. It's super cheap and has the advantage of having hands in addition to the digital display.
The hands solve the problem that many Casio watches have, where you can't see the time at the same time as the date, or the timer, or the stopwatch. G-Shock watches, I think, don't have this problem.
The disadvantage is that from 5 to 7 o'clock, the hour hand is in front of the digital display, and in the minutes between 25 and 35, both hands are in front, which makes everything a pain to see.

Most smart watches have gimmick features like the ability to take calls like your James Bond or to use google assistant to send texts or for tapping with Google Pay, all really stupid shit you can already do with your phone which needs to be within bluetooth range of the watch for it to function anyways.
I got a Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 for like $50 and it does everything I'd want out of a smart watch, notifications, step tracking, heartrate monitor, sleep tracker, weather, and it has great battery life and is waterproof which is good because I work outside.

How can people stand having these annoying trinkets around their wrist all the time? It's a fucking nuisance, especially considering how useless wristwatches are these days.
I used to wear a watch for like 1 year in school and I couldn't stand having to put it on or off all the time, or when water collected underneath the strap after washing my hands. One day I just didn't bother putting it on and completely forgot about it like a week later. God forbid if I have to exercise with one of these on.

The best way would be to sample some in person to find out what your preferences are. Go to any big department store that's still around and they'll have a perfume section. Ask your close family and friends if they have some bottles you can try. And then afterwards look up what kind of style of fragrances you liked on a database like Fragrantica or Parfumo.
I think it's a bad idea nowadays to get hyped by reviews and influencers first and then blind buy some bottles before you have a grasp on what kind of stuff you like yourself. I've had my fair share of buyer's remorse from impulse buys...

I don't feel too bad, designers and niche bottles sell fairly easily in frag groups when the scents get discontinued for a time. I've recouped a bunch of funds that way.

I have nothing against clones but my experience with them was that I'd always be thinking of the original scents they were copying or inspired by, and be a bit disappointed that they're missing a note or two. I had easier access to the originals because when I worked retail and made some friends in big box stores nearby they'd give me samples and try to sell me bottles all the time.
