I keep hearing you dont make shit for money unless you get hundreds of thousands of subs or a few dedicated paypigs which is equally as difficult.
I've been told ive got the perfect personality to be a youtuber/streamer and i can talk for hours about things I like, but it just seems like a pointless endeavor because I hate having to network and pretend to play nice with the big boys so I dont get cancelled or they'll throw me a bone.

A low end machine these days can run PS2 and gamecube games more than "decently", at worst you'll have trouble emulating some 7th gen console exclusives (MGS4, original Ninja Gaiden 2, etc), but emulators for those systems (besides Dolphin for Wii) are still not up to par in terms of even passing for "accurate".

I get paid 150$ monthly uploading long videogame content, and I don't even show my face/voice. Shit is so good. Becoming a "youtuber" should be a side-hussle though, never your full time job unless you're ready to sell your soul to the internet and are charismatic enough.

Get a cheap microphone, record the audio in a separate stream on OBS, when you are done, run the audio in the Adobe Podcast AI filter, it will make a $5 chinkophone sound almost as good as a $2000 recording setup.

It won't matter in the end anyways because most people are watching videos on their smartphone speakers and they won't be able to tell the difference.
