I honestly want to know what would have happened if the game somehow was successful.
Besides the horrendous character designs and backstories, what was the gameplay like?

the shooting itself felt okay, like a worse destiny without as aggressive of bullet magnetism and aim assistance, just similar in feel. The maps were very poorly designed and didn't flow well. Spawns were not great in general. Everything was made worse by the aesthetic and having to listen to the stupid voice quips. Completely ignoring the visuals it was a 5/10 arena hero shooter

It was Generic Hero Shooter the Game.
Which at a baseline is fun, because the online shooter is one of the most iterated upon and solved genres, and with hero shooters you just get to copy other people's work and not do anything too stupid.
This lead to all the takes of "umm actually it's just mediocre, the hate is so overblown" takes, ignoring that mediocrity is the fail-state of an uncreative hero shooter. Had it attempted anything interesting it would've been a more admirable failure.

Gameplay was mid to good which is not enough to compete with another 8 shitshows failing in tandem, maps or rather the environment were the true horrid thing about it with no intelligent design as to how players would interact, how to balance timing, how to design class-specific corridors or areas where strength and weaknesses are amplified so as to introduce tactical angles in smarter players.
Honestly, it would have failed even without the cringe Amerididdy tiktoker aesthetics.
