>gyro

>wireless
>pressure sensitive
>battery that lasts over 24h
>early models had magnetoresistive sticks, so no drift ever
They sure did.

This doesn't bring value.

The red controllers were always cheaper (probably because they look like shit especially when the red light bleeds all over the top) so these are the only ones I have.

PS controllers stop being good once you grow up because size-wise they're too damn small. I really doubt they were thinking of non-Asian adults when designing these things.

Sony didn't design shit. They stole the design from the SNES, which was designed for children.

Something about the analog sticks felt really nice to me. I think its because it encouraged less lateral movements from your thumbs. If they just made it a tad larger, it would be kino

>gyro
To be honest it had only one axis gyroscope for yaw, everythong else was detected by 3 axis accelerometer.

for me it’s the duke
I don’t even have big hands but it just feels right
same with Dreamcast controllers, but they needed more buttons for input

fucking hate the fatfuck designs of current console controllers that are not third party

The DS4 had so much useless shit. I'd take Sixaxis any day over a light bar, dedicated share button replacing select, start button named "options", controller speaker, and touchpad. (???)
The only good addition was a headphone jack.

Have you posers ever picked an original PS3 controller up? Have you used one? Its flimsy plastic shell creaks with each subtle movement you make, the sticks get sticky with a few years of use, the triggers are slippery and the controller has a chronic problem in which inputs register randomically as there's a flat cable inside that wears down for no reason at all.
Overall a giant, huge piece of turd and the saddest thing is that I have to play on it if I want to play an exclusive like Dragon's Crown or else I'm fucked.

>randomically
Look man if you're a third world ESL that couldn't afford a PS3 until the PS4 was coming out don't tell us about "original" PS3 controllers, you got some borderline bootleg version that went through 6 rounds of cost cutting.

dualshock bros. what's our choice apart from second hand?
shouldn't sony offer legacy controller on their website like Nintendo does with the gamecube controllers?

This. The official controller felt like a knock off, and the SixAxis gimmick some games pushed was getting stale quick.

Sony wants to hide their legacy, unlike Nintendo. So yeah, second hand or copycats.
