I always play as a Toreador slut, it's actually impressive that even if speech-based skill fall off in favor of combat, seduction is pretty well written and implemented during the first half of the game and has consequences. Like you can't save both Jeanette and Therese unless you seduce Jeanette first and you can alter Chuck's entire dialogue tree by seducing him during the gallery quest. Those areas are just unbalanced. They're not inherently bad. I actually like the sewers and final areas but there are too many balance issues that arise at that point. The game was rushed and the later parts of the game pretty much had zero playtesting. I'm working on my own balance patch for the game and I actually really enjoyed those areas with it.

The combat is fun for the most part. It's not going to be considered the best action game ever but it has enough going on that when you understand how everything works there's enough to keep it fun. There are various issues again with weapon balance and the game not really explaining all of the mechanics unfortunately. But a lot of complaints about the combat also come from people who just thought they could go 100% social when the game tells them not to and then do a surprised Pikachu face when they struggle.

Early Warhammer Fantasy really does not matter to 40k, so yeah, I wouldn't count that either, and WF has only existed for 42 years at this point, and the first two editions of it didn't really have a concrete setting that would move on to what we see in later editions of Warhammer Fantasy.
