No matter how good a rock paper scissor simulator is, people are gonna get bored of it eventually. But gachas have to hook players for years.
Skipping the gameplay part is such a brilliant move. The player should only have to click a couple buttons for gibs. Give them instant rewards, give them their dopamine. Condition them to do this every single day. And then, when the time comes and waifu234.png is released they will be emotionally invested enough to pay with real money.
