I've bought every mainline game. Violet was the first one I literally could not bring myself to finish. It wasn't just badly programmed or optimized. It was fucking boring. I had to go back and play some ROMhacks I never played before to check if it was just me getting tired of the formula or not, and yet I still had plenty of fun with them.
I love the series and still do, but fuck GameFreak for their complacency and fuck the NPCs for enabling them. Pokemon can be so much better than it currently is.

I never asked for such a thing. The reason FireRed/LeafGreen and HeartGold/SoulSilver were justified was because R/B/Y and G/S/C were completely and utterly incompatible with every other modern game released afterwards. However, to this very day, you can still play Ruby and Sapphire on original hardware and transfer those Pokemon all the way to current gen systems.
The remakes were not only inconsequential, but they were entirely unnecessary. But NPCs need remakes of their favorite games every five years or they might soil their Pokemon-themed diapers, and now look where we are. BD/SP are among some of the worst games in the mainline run, and I dread seeing what the inevitable B/W remakes will look like (especially because going off how previous remakes were handled, they will ONLY be focused on B/W while completely ignoring the fact that B2/W2 were the objectively superior entries in every single way).

Nintendo, unfortunately, didn't see it that way. Despite so many games getting a second chance on the Switch from the Wii U days or having sequels that were their version of the game, like Splatoon 2 being there instead of just porting Splatoon 1. Hell Platinum was willing to help port the game if need be. Guess they just couldn't see the point in pulling an SS with it, but with extra content for the Switch. I guess it goes to show Nintendo only cares about this IP as far as making their IP logs look bigger.

I actually enjoyed KH3 and then this shit happens and made me retroactively lower my opinion of the whole series when I realized that it was never worth following the entire story in the first place. All those hours playing the fucking mobile game and the story fumbled everything at the 11th hour.
