Each one gives 20% fan bonus. Then that Sweep Tosho I borrowed gives 20% as well. I swapped Tachyon for Daiwa for event bonus + a respectable 20%, and Kitasan and Bakushin give a decent fan bonus too. Just go on Gametora and sort by fan bonus. The other thing is Ive got a 45% race bonus which is pretty high, which means more stats per race.

Im not the best at this, I havent broken 1M because I want to also have power/stam hit 600 for breeding purposes. So I can maybe make a decent parent, clear out the event, and fan max all in one run. I did some G2s but Im kind of a pussy when it comes to race fatigue. You should ask the guy who regularly clears 1M fans, he has a strat to avoid awful moods. You can make a more optimal deck if you forget about event bonus, but Maru trainee is easy AND had an event bonus on top of all that. This is just what I do after I use up my borrows

You can consider guts as sort of your overall stamina reserves. Add the number to your stamina and try to hit that recommended total. More stamina and heals will balance it out. As it stands now guts is just emergency stamina. It also depends on your speed (higher speed burns more stamina), wit (skill activation for gold heals) and racing style (end uses the least stamina, front the most etc)

I think the innate healing goes a long way for a medium/long race. That way you can also grab maestro and have two gold heals. It may seem like overkill but at 400ish wit you only have a 60% skill activation so if your only heal fails, you die. The trick to winning medium/long is not gassing, while also bringing enough speed. It’s a tricky balance, but with all the debuffers running around you’ll be glad you got the heals.

To a degree, but there's a bit more to it. Most things about skills in TT are about consistency and rarity. You are right in that positioning and placing well matter more overall.
You do want multiple consistent gold skills (worth 1200 points each) that are able to activate on any possible track conditions, somewhat high wit (which also helps avoids rushed penalties), and leveled up support cards to bring up that score bonus. Avoid making a skill have double circles since the points generated are still the same as the single circle version (all non-golds are 500 points). You also want to avoid green skills that aren't position savy since track conditions are random. You also want to make sure that unique skills can reliably activate as well, so stricter condition (or ones reliant on random chance) uniques for umas like Bourbon and Biwa aren't as good. There's also a small bonus to the score unique skills bring if the uma activating it is at 3* or higher, and the level of the unique also affects the points it is worth.
Ideally all 3 of your umas place in the top 5 every time for the good team result bonus, regardless of a win or loss. If you have something like an Urara for your dirt team that keeps getting finishes outside the top 5, then you need to build a new one that can actually keep up with the competition.
Winning races also helps since there are score bonuses centered around 1st place and multiple wins provides a small percentage bonus to the score in the next race.
The good positioning bonus is for any uma that is in the best position relative to other umas using the same strategy at the start of mid-race and late-race, so avoid having multiple umas use the same strategy in each distance.

Anon, they follow the real life results of the horses. The Kitasan retirement arc was made up bullshit which is why season 3 was bad. The actual horse won freaking 4 G1's on their last year of racing.

Oguri on the other hand had run way more races than most champion horses and was on an increasingly bad losing streak to the point people were actually begging to let the horse retire.

And even before that, the "From the start, she's been manipulating this entire race! It was all under her control!?" What did she do again? She started her final spurt a few seconds earlier because she's famous for having a lot more stamina than most Umas. Every single other Uma in the race went crazy at the idea of Creek starting her spurt earlier than is standard.

And it's all presented with absolute crazy hype, and we see Creek as this mastermind strategist, hunched over countless documents and training plans, going "No, no, this won't work. I need... Yes, if I..." Like she's this 200IQ genius. And then Inari won because uhhhh, there's really no story reason, she just won that race IRL so they had her win it anyway despite Creek's DEMON QUEEN plans even though that completely breaks the narrative.

It's way better animated and has some good episodes but especially the ending is awfully written. Kitasan was a record breaking champion that retired at the top, there was no real drama to be had. The anime writers tried to add in some gravitas by deciding that the anime horse suddenly hits a wall and is "past their peak". She's just suddenly winded out and struggling out of nowhere, proceeds to yell louder and still win races, it's just awful.

The shit people say about Season 3 is insane to me, it's got this really weirdly undeserved reputation as being bad. It took me ages to watch it because everyone'd told me it wasn't very good and I had to force my way through S1, then I finally gave it a chance and... It was excellent. It's at least as good as S2 and, imo, better. I certainly liked it more.

All the random complaints I see levied against it apply just the same to S2, but S2 gets a pass while they're considered fatal flaws in S3. Meanwhile, S3 has Dia's story which is one of the best moments in the entire franchise.

Like, yeah, Cheval Grand didn't have much of a story and wasn't a particularly compelling "rival/antagonist", but please go ahead and explain to me what BWN added to Season 2 exactly? The final boss of S2 didn't even have a single conversation with Teio and barely had what like a minute total screentime?

I had a great time watching S3. Your mileage may vary, there's obviously a lott'a people who took issues with this or that with it, but I loved it.

S1 toyed with the idea of doing noncanon stuff that didn't follow the real races, but in the end, following the real races is what gives the story it's strength, imo. Because it doesn't follow the expected character journeys.

It's not as bad as people say, main issues are just being too formulaic with many episodes having the same structure and not giving the new characters enough time to feel truly memorable.

Teio wasn't very engaging as a protagonist to me at all, I never felt particularly compelled by her story and was far more interested in Makween. The best part of S2 was Rice Shower, Bourbon and Makween.

Similarly, even if you don't like Kitasan, Dia's story is fantastic and it gets far more focus than Rice Shower's moment. I also liked the little touch where Cheval takes the main stage in the intro for her big moment, like how Rice got a reference to the Black Assassin advert for her episode in S2.

Once again, who's the trainer talking to? Who's she saying "The race was under her control" to, either? There's no press present. She's monologuing to herself. It's played 100% straight.

Hell the trainer's another example of it, her entire character is being rude and dismissive to her father, even as he does favour after favour for her. He keeps reaching out, she screams and huffs and stomps her feet. But she never explains a single thing about why she's mad at him, so he has no clue, it's literally a 13yr old temper tantrum played as these huge dramatic moments we're meant to take super seriously.

And the big reveal of what terrible thing he did? He raised her solo and he had a job. She now has the same job and puts in the same dedication, she should be able to understand, but nope, it's just fit after fit after fit. It's played so unbelievably dramatically and taken way past reality it just circles back to being comedic.
