I finally tried out a power machine after using EGs exclusively, and they immediately got their hooks in me.
They absolutely fucking eat the inside of turns constantly and snaking with them to maintain a boost is so much easier.
A good run on an EG feels better, but power was much more comfortable to play than I expected.
Recovering slightly faster from hits is a nice bonus too.

They should buff ring range up to include items, I've had too many bullshit misses

I find tight corners are a bitch and a half using tech drift, I always end up on the outside. Maybe it just requires getting used to but I feel like its way to much. It really is entirely different positioning.

It sucks because I can see the vision, but people have also started to counter the tech drift build by waiting to use items until they are really close to you, or intentionally not using the auto target on things like the gloves to bounce them off of walls to shoot people using lv 4 drifts.

Good races and I should probably have quit long before now, so I'm grateful for the disconnect. Seeing the warp ring in the lobby is really entertaining even when I got flattened just before the finish line. It doesn't seem any better than a drill, so I kind of wonder why they left if off online.

That's the annoying thing about power as a stat, it doesn't actually affect collisions as much as you'd hope. Knocking people around is more based on angle and positioning, it's easier to get away with pack brawling in a power car but Miku's fat ass will still launch you if she hits you from behind at full speed. I wish Sega would make it more like Mario Kart's weight stat.

I was dreading Dragon Road and Steampunk City after some anon said they were the hardest the Super Sonic S ranks had to offer, but they weren't actually all that bad. White Cave, on the other hand, is consistently the worst fucking part of the experience. I have no idea how this level has any defenders, it's fucking awful. Done with S ranks, grinding Race Park to make the last handful of tickets for that horn achievement.

Just use the item. You either block it (same item loss as a glove) or you move ahead, minimizing it. If it was a green, you can't do the latter because there was no time to react.
Stun is marginally more than glove, but overall less time loss because my lines aren't completely fucked by having to farm half my rings back again. Are you doing level 1 after a hit to get speed back? Do you frontrun with tight lines regularly? Are rings your no1 priority in races? If no, I can see why you think slicer is so bad.

My speed stat is at 99. I'm a Speed Character in a Speed Vehicle with the Speed Kit gadget at 100 rings. We were in the straightaway leading into Lap 2 cross world. He wasn't colliding with anyone, he wasn't slip streaming with me or anyone else and he wasn't doing any snaking. He was on the opposite side of the straight away so I know he wasn't slipping me. If they couldn't space the outfits correctly to create a satisfying gameplay loop they could've added an extra level to the frienships of all the characters for an alt skin that's actually a different outfit or made a shop to spend tickets on outfits, what I really want is alt-costumes that aren't that digital shit. I've been using the same set-up except with extended slipstream or ring range up instead of Lv2 quick charge. I can't prove it, but the extra accel from ring gain mini boost seems to make it so you reach max drift boost speed faster. It's the most fun build in the game I've tried so far.
