For AMD the exclusive manufacturers (Sapphire, Powercolor, XFX, etc) are the best ones. Gigabyte and ASUS usually put out low effort rehashes of their NVidia designs and Asrock is Ugly.

I got a good price on a 9070 XT so I picked one up too and I'm pretty happy with it so far. Replaced a GTX 1080 which is still great but struggling with newer stuff.

I could've gone for MSRP, but I was seduced by Asrock's shitty proprietary ARGB that doesn't work with any external controllers and MUST be used with Polychrome.

A couple of programs that I rely on don't work with Linux. But I guess I'll try the dual boot in the future. Do I need two different storage drives for that? Here we go, I guess.

no, you don't, you can technically split your os drive in two
but in practice it's better to have them on separate drives, there are stories of windows fucking shit up and not playing nice

Mfg x4 is actually the best thing nvidia produced since programmable shaders.
You have to be insane to play modern game without mfg x4 if the game supports it. It just makes everything so smooth and pleasant to play.

boy i sure hope you didn't mistakenly buy the 8GB version

if you got the 16GB then you're in for a decent card for the price. you also have a competent upscaling solution with FSR4 now, enjoy

Yeah, that was completely pointless to throw on the market, especially when it's only fifty quid cheaper. Might as well bring it to the landfill after purchase. It's electronic waste to the highest degree.

i would never buy the 8gb version but you underestimate the number of semi normies who just play league of legends and overwatch and marvel rivals but their ego prevents them from buying the cheapest entry level cards so they go for the lower mid range

Check Amazon, average 9060 XT is around 370€ and I mean the 16GB version, of course.
Also it's smaller and not as power hungry as a 3070.

Sorry, you don't understand that using MFG lowers the base framerate the game runs at.
If you don't have high end card both input lag and image quality will suck.
Your pretty screenshots won't change that.

Anonymous No.723564051 [Report]
>>723563670
If you have high base framerate the input lag won't get much higher with MFG.
I doubt you can even notice sub 10ms difference in single player games.

>>723563670
>Only people with shit genetics cant feel the half second delay.
>half second delay.
Huh? Half second. That's utter nonsense. You'll get half a second of delay only if your base framerate is like 8fps lol. As long as your base framerate is 60fps, your input lag will increase by about 15-25 miliseconds depending on the game.
Anonymous No.723564226 [Report]

That shit is disgusting man. The input delay is awful. AMD alternative is bad too

>Get more fake resolution but you get artifacts and visual noise when the point of higher resolutions is getting better visual quality
Except modern upscalers like FSR4 and DLSS4 actually do a good job of aping the visual quality of higher resolutions. You will literally get better image quality by upscaling from 720p to 1440p via DLSS4 or FSR4 than you would playing without any upscalers or AI gimmicks at 1440p.
