been wondering if a current gen pokemon game would be more accessible to newbies, would they find it acceptable? not being accusatory or anything, just not accustomed to the lack of acclivity in the pokemon franchise lately accentuated by gimmicks. i want real actual gameplay

Pokémon doesn’t need to be accessible (though it is already). Kids get on-boarded very swiftly from an early age since Pokémon is everywhere if you actually start looking for it.
