This makes me genuinely sad. I really want to like Pokemon but I can't.
They have the most valuable IP in the world, they're going to print money anyway, so why don't they ever try to make something genuinely great. Like it or not, it is a huge pop cultural thing that will outlive all of us. It will immortalize them, yet they seem content for that to be one of barley tried instead of art/an achievement one can be proud of.
