The SH2 apartments gotta be the most underrated area in horror games
>interesting set pieces and imagery
>meeting Pyramid Head for the first time, the mirror room with Angela, the moth room, mannequin Mary, dead James watching tv
>creepy sound design, eerie whispers, the hallway that sounds like breathing
>dark, confusing, claustrophobic, subtle
>enemies still feel like a threat at this point
>opening the door and finding that it leads to a window
>reading about Walter Sullivan, sticking your hand in the toilet, getting the safe open, meeting Eddie and Laura
It’s incredibly well designed and full of iconic moments. Crazy that most people hate the area. It’s mundane but that’s what makes it work so well.
