Let me get this right. You don't want more options in a game that calls its a role playing game? Because I don't understand what point your trying to make.
I've softened considerably on party members being player-sexual, why shouldn't I have access to all the writing in a game I paid for? On the other hand it was fairly jarring in BG3 when I had to turn down four different men in a row- I think when you load up a campaign for the first time there should be a little menu that pops up that lets you tick boxes for whose romance is activated (including all at once). Just having a "gay" box would probably just piss people off.
