I remember when my parents, and especially my grandparents cringed at how corny and stupid some of the older anime shit was. Now that I'm older, I totally get it, and agree with them in a lot of cases. Though I do recognize the actual charm where it was present. However, this is something completely different. This kid friendly sports anime shit makes my skin crawl. I can only wonder if I feel worse now than my grandparents did then. I think it's worse. I'm just glad they dont have to witness this. I don't care if it's stylized, superpowers, a computer simulation. Spare me the context. I don't even want to know. It's gay. Really gay. So gay that self respecting children playing on the playground should be turning up their nose at this because they see themselves as too cool for it.
