More interesting is how UT threads are about fun while Quake threads about who is the sweatier nerd and how nobody will play anything now because "NOT MUH QUACK!" Bonus for 1 fag trying to 1v1 to show off his cheats.

These hurt so much because of how much they remind me of the old Internet and PCs in general. I can still see and hear the damn fish screensaver from Windows 98 whenever I hear UT music.

If you ever want to be in pain, just remember that there was a Gen 8 Unreal Tournament but it got shut down because they needed every single available hand churning out new content for Fortnite.
Considering how it was printing the money of an AAA game every month with cosmetics alone, I can hardly fault them. But they should at least try and bring it back now.

if they ever reboot the franchise, I want them to combine all the features of ut3, 2k4 and championship 2 into a single game.
add a singleplayer campaign like the unreal 1, and thats basically my dream game.

Absolutely correct. It was never good. It was always great or mediocre. UT99? Great. UT2k3? Mediocre. UT2k4? Greatest FPS of all time. UT3? Shit. UT4? Mediocre.
Ut99 was fps peak and it happened too early. Ive kept it permanently installed since I first got it in 2002. Listen to the ost while driving fuck good feels.
Did you guys ever customize the bots based off anybody/themes? When I was younger I would make mine based on all my childhood friends and always played with them on my team.

not him but I can relate with Unreal and UT's OSTs opening some kind of mega nostalgia portal but they also make me feel happy becaue of how futuristic if not outright timeless they sound
