Still haven't found time in my life to play 2, in fact I didn't even beat the first one with all characters yet despite "enjoying" it.

Was Pathologic 1 meant to look very uncanny and unsettling or was that just graphical limitations? Because 2 doesn't feel that way

Demo was fantastic, though lacking. With Pathologic 2 catering to everyone with the difficulty sliders, pretty sure this will be a bit more mainstream.
Hoping for more on the choice matters side, but still have high hopes.

No thoughts, haven't seen anything about 3. Got filtered hard by 1 and struggled through 2 until a damn cave full for big dudes.
Totally unrelated but there's one tranny that made a video on Pathologic 2 demo and it made me so annoyed i dedicated 2 weeks trying to find the guy so i could enact some sort of retribuition. I have no idea why it happened or what video it was but maybe its for the best.

new traversal mechanics are questionable to me. the devs continued commitment to them makes me think of civ 7's era switching, just a bad idea that seems foundational to the new game so it can't just be cut out. the plague lady acting as a RE2 Tyrant also seems lame. time travel mechanic might be neat but neither demo really showed off how it actually works in practice

I think I overall preferred the Quarantine demo. I wasn't quite sure how to feel about the new reasoning system as the demo went on. It seemed fun at first but I don't think it was particularly interesting in the ways they used it. Perhaps my thoughts will change when I play the full game though.

Also the fog in the plague district makes me sad. The design in Pathologic Classic was incredible, 2 less so but still very good. The fog makes it so you effectively see none of the other visual effects or changes compared to the district normally.

I'm biased as I like Daniil a lot and struggled to enjoy Patho 1. Patho 2 became a comfort game for me but I kept tapping out of 1 due to general disinterest. I hope 3 is incredible and at least close to being the definitive way to enjoy Daniil's journey.

Pathologic 1 as made by people who didn't know anything about game dev, that's why it's buggy, runs like shit and looks like shit. It's a miracle that through this veil of incompetence we somehow got glimpse at the artistic vision and writing and characters that helped shape a memorable game against all odds.

They were not in 2, 3 hasn't released yet but they might be used again for one of Bachelor's endings considering he has way more focus on the tower itself.
