The future is never set in stone. Trends are not gospel. While the state of gaming in general still isn’t the best currently, 2025 has still been a great year for gaming. The worst year for gaming of all time was 2022, where the only singular good game was Elden Ring. We have already hit the bottom. Nowhere else to go but up. The past 3 years have actually un-blackpilled me. I’m actually looking forward to see what the 2030s has in store. One day we’ll all look back and laugh at the utter madness that was the late 2010s/early 2020s.

2021 had games. Deathloop, Halo Infinite, RE8, Far Cry 6, Back 4 Blood, House of Ashes, FNAF Security Breach, GTA Definitive Edition. They just all fucking blew. The only potential exception is Metroid Dread. Idk I haven't played it myself
