Yes, but you only see them on loss or if you recruit and build up a relationship with monsters. Since it's an actual RPG, most people aren't going to be intentionally losing fights against everything and it's easier to just plow thru all enemies and just get the scenes of characters you're using in your party.

I've been playing MGQP for around 10 years at this point, on-and-off, and have only hit a bit over 300 hours, and that has involved jobmaxxing around 12 characters. I have no clue how you could still play the game for three times that amount without being completely bored, even if you're collecting all the CGs and getting all the panties and so on.

And if you're talking about the original MGQ VN, that has even less content. Every monsters is just a single battle with around three endings at best and maybe ten moves to see. I'm sure most people 100% completed the monsterpedia in that game in just 100 hours or so. I have no clue how you could still be playing for ten times that amount, even with the fanmod side stories.

It was something different? From what I recall, the Ilias you travel with IS the original Ilias that you fought in MGQ, and she was indeed hit with the Ancestor's Great Seal, with only a tiny portion of her able to avoid getting sealed. AFTER this happened, Black Alice took advantage of Ilias going down somehow. I don't remember the exact details but she was able to basically use some time travel bullshit to merge with Alice and Chaos and become hypergod or some shit. I'd really need to replay it. Point being, we are traveling with original Ilias who did get sealed by Luka and Alipheese at the end of MGQ. I feel like I'd remember if that were revealed to have been wrong after all

I've not played Part 3, so perhaps some facts get retconned or clarified that I wasn't clear on with just playing Part 2. However, here is what I understand happened:

Ilias from baseline MGQ basically broke the multiverse thanks to her constantly rewinding time to keep Luka alive thru his adventure. When Luka finally shows up and killed MGQ Ilias, the energy fucks up the miltiverse. All the alternate universes, end up starting to break down as a result.

MGQP is the "main" alternate universe. That is, it's the first universe to spin off from the main MGQ. All the other universes are spinoffs from the MGQP universe. This is why everybody is fighting in the MGQP universe.

The MGQP Loli Ilias is the remains of the MGQ Ilias after she was killed. She stripped herself of her powers and lost part of her memories to escape to somewhere else to avoid being fully killed. It's why she's so depowered in MGQP. She's not related to the MGQP Ilias Proper at all, outside being the same character from another parallel universe. It's why Loli Ilias has memories of Luka and events from MGQ, but doesn't recognize Sonya and "misremembers" details about Luka's parents and so on. She's pointing out the inconsistencies between the parallel universes, even when that's not her intention.

Black Alice is the MGQ Black Alice. The scientists in MGQP turned on a machine that pulled her out of MGQ just as Luka was finishing her off. This gave Black Alice enough time to finish absorbing all the dark magic and holy magic, basically ascending her. The Black Alice ascension smashed an energy pillar thru heaven, striking a fatal blow to the MGQP Ilias Proper and corrupting her with chaos magic, while also sending heaven crashing down to the ground.

It takes 250 hours to get to the part 3 endgame? That sounds strange. I remember getting to the end of Part 1 in around 10 hours and I'm sure that the end of Part 2 wouldn't take much more than 10-15. At this point my characters are so overleveled that it's hard to really get a good idea of how tough that part is, at any difficulty. I guess the crossover section did take longer (mainly due to needing to level up characters the first time) but I wouldn't add much more than another 5 hours to that, so around 30 hours total to get from a fresh save to the Part 2 ending.

I somehow doubt that it takes 200 hours to get from Part 2 end to Part 3 end. Maybe if you're trying to max out everything and multiple new characters, sure, but even a level 200 max and 10x job EXP requirements shouldn't take that long. I guess if you're starting fresh and doing some sort of challenge runs, or maxing characters in different runs repeatedly, it will take a lot longer. I guess I'll wait for Part 3 to get fully translated and see how long it actually lasts.

Here's my save files, including the one from 2016 where I had a save point just after Slime Mountain, so I wouldn't need to go thru the introduction bit every time I wanted to start a new game. There's not much reason to do that now, with NG+ and a much larger roster, but I keep it around just for memory's sake.

Also, there are long times when I've not been playing. I started the save files nearly 10 years ago. I've certainly not been playing that whole time. The game gets boring after some time, and the last thing I did was NG+ at the end of Part 2 and start up an Ilias route. (I hadn't played the Ilias route since I was just on Part 1, so time to level people up.)

To add some info from a dude who played MGQP Part 3 - just use the bobmtl patch

Paradox World, world you start off in MGQP is known as singularity world due to its unique nature as being one first worlds to be created after Prime Ilias death. It's the world BA (Black Alice from main VN world) escaped to by accident via the experiment ongoing Remina, allowing her to ascend into a chaos goddess. It's the world with multiple tartatus, allowing local mutliverse travel with ease. And it's the most stable world in multiverse besides the original VN world.

Luka's father in MGQP is a patchwork job made up of multiple alternate versions of himself after his untimely death. Basically, due to lilith sisters from Monster World arrving in paradox world and killing Marcellus way before he was supposed to die “canonically”, it caused a paradox (He died on Hellgondo, years before luka was born). In response, the universe forcibly recreated him to regain some structural integrity, but it was a messy job. He was made up of different versions of himself, which granted him memories of alt timelines/universe, and it also made him aware of chaos shit. It also made him capable of opening the unopenable doors inside the Tartaruses, which is a trait MGQP Luka inherited. It's the reason you can then travel to different worlds.

WIth Marcellus using said power to save his home world. He's been going to different alt worlds, killing monster lords to end them prematurely, for effectively thousands of years to save space. I.E. we're playing with Type-moon rules where space-time has a storage limit for how many alt universe can exist with Marcellus acting as a rogue delete button to this alt worlds. Causing the Paradox world to be more stable than other worlds. Making a hotbed of conflict because both Angel World and Monster World are nearing their limit of existence due to straying off true history by a lot.

It's one of the reasons why Mitsuko is such a busted character with her available race selection at the end of Part 2. You can not do this unless you plan everything ahead of time which would basically mean going to the monster girl game general and asking people for a meta setup or something. There is a staggering amount of team building potential due to the variety of classes and races and even if you get maid headbands early on to increase job exp gains it's still nowhere near enough to make a dent in mastering every job of any given archetype just from natural play with zero grinding. This means the only way you're going to get enough job experience without grinding is if you know exactly what you need to level but even then most classes in the game are unlocked as you progress so you won't have access to a lot of it.

That aside the best difficulty to play through if you want a challenge without the game being bullshit is probably Very Hard. Hell can be doable but Hell and Paradox crank stats up so much that basically everything is going to have far more agility than you so unless you use exclusively priority attacks your non-grind party is going to get outsped like fuck and annihilated.
